AI Search Visibility · GEO / AEO · Australia

Get recommended
when buyers ask AI
who to trust.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who they should go with, you want to be the name that comes up. We make your brand visible in AI, and track your performance every month.

Why this matters now

SEO isn't dead.
Search is splintering.

Google was never the only place people looked. They search on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, wherever they trust the answers. AI is the newest place search has split into, and buyers are asking it longer, more detailed questions about exactly what they are trying to work out. The AI weighs it up and hands back a short list of businesses. AI search visibility is how often yours is on that list.

Common questions

AI search visibility,
explained.

The basics

What is AI search visibility?

Search has been splintering for years. Google was never the only place people looked. They search on YouTube, on LinkedIn, on Instagram and Facebook, wherever they trust the answers. AI is simply the newest place it has split into, and a fast-growing one. More and more of your customers now start by asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, often with longer, more conversational questions.

The AI weighs it up and hands back a short list of businesses. AI search visibility is how often, and how well, your business turns up on that list. You will hear it called GEO or AEO too, but it comes down to the same thing: getting named when AI makes the recommendation.

Is AI search replacing Google?

Not yet, and in mid 2026 it is not trying to. Right now AI search sits alongside Google rather than replacing it. What we see is people starting a question in AI, getting a short list of brands, then heading back to Google to check them out. They search the names that came up, look for reviews, YouTube videos and images, and decide whether they trust what the AI told them.

The takeaway is simple: you want to show up in both. To get named in AI, you start by analysing what the AI is already saying, then create the content and structure your site so you earn a place in those answers.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO is about ranking a page in Google's list of links. AI visibility is about being the answer itself, often before anyone clicks anything. They are not rivals, and SEO is far from dead. It still does a real job, especially when someone leaves an AI answer to go and vet a brand back on Google.

The difference is what each one rewards. AI leans hard on clear answers, structured data and what other trusted sites say about you, so you can rank well on Google and still be invisible inside ChatGPT. You want to be strong in both, and we build for both.

Why choose PROACTIVE Co over another agency?

Chris Hogan has spent 30 years in marketing, multimedia and digital strategy. In that time he has watched technology reshape this industry over and over, and he has been on the receiving end of it. Our own business was disrupted, most recently by AI, and we rebuilt around the change and helped others do the same.

So we are not speaking from theory. We have lived it, we know how fast these moments move, and we would rather get you ahead of it.

Why a managed service and not just a tool?

A tool will show you the problem. It will not fix it. There is plenty of software that will happily tell you that you are invisible in AI, then leave the actual work to you. Someone still has to write the content, build the schema, earn the mentions and handle the technical side that moves the numbers. We do the lot for you, here in Australia, so you get the result rather than one more dashboard to babysit.

Tracking and results

Which AI engines do you track, and which matter most?

We track the engines your customers are genuinely using: ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with Claude, Meta AI and DeepSeek added on the higher tiers. ChatGPT sends the most traffic today, while Perplexity and Gemini tend to bring buyers who are ready to act. Google's AI Overviews matter too, because they sit right on top of the searches you already care about.

How do you track and report results?

We watch your visibility every day and report back every month. On the higher tiers we cross-check across more than one independent tool, so you are never taking a single source's word for it. You will see where you are being cited, which way it is trending, and where your competitors sit. No vanity metrics, just your share of the answers and the gaps we are closing.

How long until I see results?

Tracking and the first fixes are live inside the first month. The content, schema and trust work starts shifting your numbers over the following 60 to 90 days, because the AI engines take a little time to pick up new signals and act on them. The PR side compounds from there. This is a build rather than a switch, but the early wins tend to show up quickly.

What is the ROI compared to paid ads?

Paid ads stop working the second you stop paying for them. AI visibility is authority you build once and keep. When AI recommends you, it reaches a buyer at the exact moment they are deciding, as a trusted answer rather than an ad they can scroll past. That is why it tends to convert better, and cost less per customer, the longer it runs.

The deliverables

What is schema markup?

Schema is a bit of structured data in your website's code that spells out, in a language machines read cleanly, exactly what your business is, what you offer and how you are rated. AI leans on it heavily to understand you and quote you correctly. We put a whole matrix of schema types in place (Organization, Service, FAQ and more) so your information is easy to pick up and hard to get wrong. For online stores, advanced schema goes further again.

Why does advanced schema matter for ecommerce?

An online store lives or dies on how well its products show up. Advanced Product, Offer and Review markup lets AI and Google pull your prices, stock and star ratings straight into their answers and rich results. For an ecommerce brand, that is the difference between showing up with a photo, a price and a rating, or not showing up at all. It is exactly why the custom schema in the Authority tier suits online stores so well.

What is an llms.txt file?

It is a simple text file that sits on your website and gives AI a clean, accurate summary of who you are and what you do. Think of it as a fact sheet written for machines rather than people. It helps the AI describe you and quote you correctly, instead of guessing from bits and pieces scattered across your site.

What is digital / AI PR?

AI pays close attention to what other reputable sites and communities say about you. Digital PR is the work of earning genuine mentions in the places AI already reads, like Reddit, Quora, industry forums, podcasts and LinkedIn. Those mentions add up over time into the kind of authority that makes AI comfortable recommending you.

Pricing and terms

What does local Australian support include?

You deal with our team here, in your timezone, in plain English. Foundation includes email support. Growth adds phone and Zoom. Authority adds the option to have your quarterly review in person. No offshore help desk, and no account manager you can never get hold of.

Is there a contract or lock-in?

Foundation starts with a three-month pilot, then runs month to month with no lock-in. Growth asks for 90 days, so the work has time to compound. Authority runs on a six-month term, because the sustained PR and trust building need room to pay off. No sneaky auto-renewals, and you always know where you stand.

What counts as a location?

On the Authority tier we price from $8,990 a month per location, so it helps to know what we mean. Usually a location is a physical place you operate, like a store, a hotel or a resort. It can also be a separate website or subdomain that needs its own tracking and content work. Every business is a little different, so we confirm exactly what counts as a location with you when we scope the work, and put it in writing before we start.
