Do I need to be technical?
No. You direct, Claude builds. Your job is to know your business, your customers and your offer. The morning is business thinking, the afternoon is telling Claude what to build and checking what comes back. The pre-work guide walks you through every install, and the first half hour of the day is set aside to fix anything that didn't work.
Will my site really be live by 4pm?
Yes, that's the promise and we keep it honest: one page, live on a real URL, with working capture. Every site ships a contact form, and on top of that either a quiz that lands leads in your CRM and fires an automated reply, or a booking link people can book time with you through. What we don't promise is a ten-page website in a day. You take home your brand guidelines and the full playbook to grow it page by page.
What does it cost to run afterwards?
About $20 a month for Claude, which you likely already have, free Netlify hosting, a free Brevo account, and around $12 a year for your domain. No page-builder subscription, no agency retainer. You own the files.
Why not just use WordPress?
WordPress is the most popular CMS on the internet, and that popularity makes it the most attacked. Running it well means constant plugin, theme and core updates, and properly managed hosting that can run $250 or more a month. Hosted cheap and left alone, getting hacked and rebuilt is a matter of when, not if. The plain HTML site you build today has no plugins to update, no database to compromise and no admin login to attack, so almost nothing to maintain and almost nothing to pay.
I already have a website. Is this still useful?
Yes. Most attendees with an existing site use the day to build a dedicated lead-generation page for their best offer, something most business websites don't have. You'll also leave able to update and extend what you build, which is usually the thing an old website never allowed.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop with the pre-work done (we send a step-by-step guide and check it at 9am), your logo and a few photos, your business details, any real customer testimonials you have permission to use, and links to three websites you like. The guide covers all of it.
Mac or Windows?
Either. The pre-work guide has a version for each. If you're on a Mac, know your Apple ID and password before the day.
Why is it $990 now and $1,499 later?
The better question is why it's so cheap. Commission a professional to design and build a website or landing page with this level of detail — strategy, brand guidelines, copy in your voice, working lead capture — and you'll pay no less than $3,000, and more like $6,000+ with customisation. In this room you build it yourself, guided all day by 30 years in multimedia design: websites designed and built since 1998, static sites exactly like the one you'll build, and custom ecommerce back when it had to be built from scratch. $990 is the launch price for the first cohorts; $1,499 is the standard price once launch seats are gone. Same day, same outcomes either way.
What happens after the workshop?
You leave with a live site, your leads landing in your own Brevo account, and the PROACTIVE Website Build Playbook, the same 10-phase method we use on client builds, to extend the site page by page. Homework is small and specific: connect your domain, check your leads on Monday, add one page.
